We were over the moon to spend our open weekend with a selection of fantastic suppliers who we have worked with time and time again over the last few years. We know that the services they deliver are top-notch and as a result, we’d always recommend them! Here’s a breakdown of who was there during the weekend and what they did:
Melissa is a fine art and lifestyle photographer whom has just moved back from Dubai to her home in the North East. Her style of photography is creative, romantically classic and timeless and she is happiest when she is making beautiful pictures for you to treasure. Melissa captures your day from beginning to end and she loves to show the natural interaction, love, happiness and laughter from your Big Day.
Just before our Open Weekend launched Melissa was the photographer for our Boho Bridal Shoot in the tipis and over the weekend she captured some stunning images of the tipis and all our guests coming down to check them out.
This family team can create a Bride like no other; they have two boutiques in Manchester and offer a collection of dresses that range from classic, modern, bohemian and vintage inspired gowns. As well as having their own ranges they are exclusive stockists to some amazing designers and with many years’ experience they can find exactly what is right for you.
At our bridal shoot prior to our Open Weekend, Jean Jackson Couture dressed the models in some stunning guides which matched our Boho theme perfectly and looked amazing with the tipis. Over the weekend they had a model wearing a Jean Jackson gown standing tall in our tipis and came down to chat to the Brides about the dresses for their Big Day.
Now these aren’t just your bog-standard loo – these are the super duper, swish loos that make you want to go and have a natter with your friends there!
Classic Chambers are a family run business that provides luxury mobile toilets for some of the most stylish events across Northern England. They continue to innovate and provide the most exclusive mobile loos to their Clients and they do all of this by manufacturing them themselves.
During our Open Weekend, Classic Chambers provided us with their WC3 toilet trailer and it certainly got everybody talking! Floor length pictures, TV’s and music playing whilst you nip out so it’s like you never left the party.
For our photoshoot and our Open Weekend we had the very talented Maxine Smith, Maxine has worked in the fashion and beauty industry for over 20 years. Not only does she do Bridal make up but she regularly works on fashion and commercial shoots and has also been involved in fashions shows such as London Fashion Week.
Maxine styled our models for our shoot the day before our Open Weekend and they looked amazing. During our Open Weekend she was giving out tips and demonstrations on her own models to show off her amazing skills.
The other half of the power beauty and hair duo is the fabulous Vicky Millington. Vicky is a professional freelance hair stylist and barber with over 10 years’ experience. Vicky is a specialist in Bridal Hair styling and travels across the North West to give your and your bridesmaids a professional look that will last all day. As well as Bridal styling Vicky also offers mobile hairdressing services and has been part of many Fashion shoots and shows and specialises in Avante Garden creative styling.
Vicky styled our models hair for various looks during our photoshoot and we were in awe, she also brought along some little helpers and models for our Open Weekend and showed us what she can do.
Now this is what we call travelling in style from your ceremony to your reception, and not only can you travel there in style you can even have one of these amazing campervans as an ice cream or candy van. The Lovebus Wedding Company have four iconic VW campervans that come with chauffeur so you can travel hassle free from one venue to the next, you can even have time after you arrive to get some snaps with you and these wonderful vans.
At our Open Weekend we had two of these amazing vans present; we had Dolly the converted ice cream and candy van with some lovely bistro tables outside and we also had Delilah who can be chauffeur driven on your Big Day.
The only light up letters you need to know about are brought to you by The Word is Love! This crazy, wild couple got married and didn’t want the wedding feeling to end so the Word is Love was born and it is amazing. You can pick from a range of letters in the alphabet and a selection of words, and the best thing? If they haven’t got what you are looking for they want you to get in touch and they want to make it for you so your Big Day doesn’t go without!
At our Open Weekend, The Word is Love supplied us with some great light up letters spelling out the word DANCE, this slotted right behind out dancefloor and at night it looked amazing!
At our Open Weekend we had the amazing Lowri Cope, she sat and dazzled our guests with her amazing playing on the harp and it was magical.
Lowri has played the harp for many Years for family and friends and in 2008 decided to take her talent to the rest of the world. She has played at weddings, mayoral celebrations, private functions and corporate events throughout the North West.
These wedding cakes really are something to shout about, Bloomsbury Wedding cakes create your cake especially for you. The ingredients are locally sourced and they are baked individually in hand-made fashion so you can have them designed however you want for you Big Day. You can choose from a range of flavours, fillings and sauces and you can even have wedding cupcakes made and decorated to match your theme.
Bloomsbury Wedding cakes brought down a selection of cakes to show off at our Open Weekend and they also brought down cupcakes to give out in our goodies bags… and they were delicious!
We had a very busy weekend welcoming everyone through our tipi doors and the terrible weather didn’t disrupt anything! We were nice and toasty inside with the fire roaring fire whilst the wind howled but nobody noticed inside our safe haven and set everybody home with a lovely little goodie bag.
We loved meeting everybody down at our Open Weekend and we hope you all had an amazing time coming down to visit!
